Brewhouse
The brewhouse is the heart of a brewery
The beer production cycle can be divided into the following stages: mashing, filtering, boiling, whirlpooling and cooling. Mashing is the stage in which the water and milled grain are heated to extract the starch. During filtering, the used grain is separated from the beer wort and the wort is stabilised through boiling and the hops are added. Whirlpooling is the first filtration of the beer wort. The final cooling, on the other hand, is performed to cool the wort to the correct temperature at which fermentation starts. As can be deduced from this brief description, it is this process that produces the taste, flavour and colour of beer and explains why the brewhouse is the heart of a brewery. Nowadays, the brewmaster requires ever more accurate and sophisticated control systems, reliable and high-performance machinery with excellent hygiene standards; all features that Sfoggiatech guarantees every day in the production of its machinery.
