The washing of food industry systems with CIP

All food industries are required to observe high standards of cleanliness in the machinery which is part of their production lines. To do this, they use a washing system which alternates between alkaline (for cleansing) and acid (for disinfecting) pH phases. These types of washing cycles are carried out by so-called CIP (clean-in-place) machines. These machines consist of 3 tanks, one for the alkaline solution, one for the acid solution and one for water. They have an automatic system for controlling the temperature and the concentration of the chemical solutions.
